We wish to keep you abreast of developments in our projects : GUSTO & SAMS e.g. first GUSTO birth, first MRI of newborn in any health study worldwide, and first PEA POD (measuring body composition of newborns) in Asia, a visit by the Chief Editor from Nature Medicine and the brand-new Neurocognition Development Centre in Changi. We also hope to provide a peek into our hardworking colleagues’ lives - outside DevOS e.g. Dr Marielle Fortier as we’ve never seen her - the professional salsa dancer!

Gaining accurate body composition measurements is normally an esoteric exercise reserved for the clinical, used by the military or in pursuit of athletic excellence. As it happens, Singapore has gained the first PEA POD in Asia to aid our paediatricians in their research on newborns.

The first GUSTO babies were born on 30 Nov and 1 Dec 2009 to Ms Norizaharah binte Salim and Ms Jong Siew Jin.
